What is the most economical option for fixing my patio?

I have a slate patio, but only 2/3 of it is covered by an awning. The other 1/3 of the patio is exposed to the elements and has extensive damage - - weeds grow through the joints, and some of the slate has simply broken apart. I removed all the old slate and now have an uneven concrete mess! I’ve considered several options: filling with more concrete (either myself, or hiring out), or paving over what’s left. I also need to make a more definite cut between the part of the patio that I’m keeping, and the crappy part that needs fixing - - should I even attempt using a portable circular saw with a masonry blade myself (I’ve never done it before . . . )? Thanks so much for your help!
